The second (November 1991) is from the Irish Government and the third (February 1992) from Sinn Fein.\n\nOver the following 18 months or so, the proposal was redrafted on several occasions before the Taoiseach, Albert Reynolds, was in a position to approach the Prime Minister, John Major with a draft which represented a broad consensus between himself (representing the Irish Government), yourself (representing the SDLP) and Gerry Adams (representing Sinn Fein).\n\nI haven't been able as yet to sort out all the redrafts that were made between February 1992 and the time the Taoiseach went to the Prime Minister but I did find one you prepared in June, 1993 and so I am enclosing it.\n\nI am also enclosing a copy of the Joint Declaration as it was finally delivered by the Taoiseach and the Prime Minister in December, 1993.\n\n5.8.2000\n\nJ.D.\n"}]
