Archiving Conflict and Reconciliation

During the Troubles in Northern Ireland the Department of Foreign Affairs in Dublin developed a programmatic system of collecting information from and about Northern Ireland, which was instrumental in keeping political leaders and civil servants informed of developments in the Province and in assisting Dublin to determine its ‘reach’ in pursuit of a solution to the division there.  Frank Sheridan evaluates the role of these 'travellers'.
