Baron John Thomas Alderdice. Born 28 March 1955. Leader of the Alliance party from 1987-1998. He was a delegate for East Belfast at the Northern Ireland Forum for Political Dialogue. As party leader, he was an Alliance delegate to the 1996-1998 multi-party talks, and a member of the negotiating team. He was the Speaker of the Northern Ireland Assembly, 1998-2004. Alderdice has been a member of the House of Lords since 1996 as a Liberal Democrat.

Eileen Bell; CBE 2008. Born 15 August 1943. General Secretary of the Alliance Party from 1986. Alliance delegate to the 1996-1998 multi-party talks, and a member of the support team. She was also a delegate to the Northern Ireland Forum for Political Dialogue as a top-up candidate. Bell later became a member of the Northern Ireland Assembly from 1998 until 2007, and Deputy Leader of the Alliance Party in June 2001 until 2006..

Seamus Anthony Close; OBE. Born 12 August 1947; died 7 May 2019. Alliance delegate to the 1996-1998 multi-party talks, and a member of the negotiating team. Later an MLA from 1998 to 2007, and Deputy Leader of the Alliance Party from 1998 to 2001.

Stephen Anthony Farry; PhD. Born 22 April 1971. An Alliance delegate to the 1996-1998 multi-party talks. Later an Alliance MLA and MP for North Down, and Deputy leader of the Alliance Party from 2016.

Steve McBride. Alliance delegate to the 1996-1998 multi-party talks, and a member of the support team. He was also a delegate to the Northern Ireland Forum for Political Dialogue for South Belfast.

Kieran McCarthy. Born 9 September 1942. Delegate to the 1996-1998 multi-party talks and a delegate to the Northern Ireland Forum for Political Dialogue for Strangford. McCarthy later became MLA for Strangford, 1998-2016.

Sir Oliver Napier. Born 11 July 1935; died 2 July 2011. Served as the first and only Legal Minister and head of the Office of Legal Reform in the Northern Ireland power-sharing executive set up by the Sunningdale Agreement. Founding member of the Alliance Party. Joint Leader of the Alliance Party, 1970-72; sole Leader of the Alliance Party, 1973-1984. Delegate to the 1996-1998 multi-party talks, and a member of the support team. He was also a delegate to the Northern Ireland Forum for Political Dialogue for North Down.

Seán Neeson. Born 9 February 1946. Alliance delegate to the 1996-1998 multi-party talks, and a member of the negotiating team. Delegate to the Northern Ireland Forum for Political Dialogue for East Antrim. Leader of the Alliance Party, 1998-2001. Served as a MLA for East Antrim 1998-2011. Served on Carrickfergus Council, 1977-present.
