Resolutions from the Convention for the Committee of Detail
Commentary
Farrand includes, among his 'Committee of Detail Papers', a version of the amended Virginia Plan sent from the Convention to the Committee of Detail: he titles it '[Proceedings of the Convention, June 19 - July 23]'. Among these resolutions, which, his title suggests, were reported to the Committee of Detail on July 23rd, he includes a version of the 9th resolution. Since the Convention expressly reserved the 9th resolution to itself for further consideration, and since the version of the resolution included in Farrand's document was only adopted on July 26th, the editors suspect that this is inaccurate. In this version of the resolutions, tne 9th resolution is omitted: the version adopted by the Convention on July 26th will be referred on that date.
