This document provides an account of a meeting between D Hayes and Annie Courtney that took place on 11 September 1996. In the meeting, Courtney described the recent controversy that involved Richard Dallas, whose candidature as mayor had been supported by the SDLP and who was facing charges after his involvement in the blocking of a bridge during the Drumcree crisis earlier in the year. They also spoke about the reorganisation of Northern Ireland's Education and Library Boards Department, the local elections that were going to take place next May, and the negative inter-community relations in the aftermath of Drumcree.
