Fax from Roderic Lyne to the Prime Minister Regarding a Phone Call with Derek Worlock

Writing Peace: The National Archives of the UK (TNA)

Worlock, who was Archbishop of Liverpool, reports his own call with the new Bishop of Down and Connagh Patrick Walsh, who reported to him that he was deeply grateful for the work the Prime Minister has done. He also reported that attempts to stir up loyalist discontent in Liverpool prior to the Declaration were quelled when it was actually made. A section of the fax is missing under the Freedom of Information Act. What follows this concerns Reynolds desire for an Irish Forum and press coverage.
