The British and Irish Governments, in a communication dated 17 November 1997, informed the participating political parties of the postponement of the Strand Three Liaison meeting scheduled for the following day. The decision was made to allow the current round of bilateral consultations to proceed without interruption and to gather the parties' views more effectively during these consultations.
