This document, presented by the SDLP, describes their position on constitutional issues in relation to Strands 1 and 2. The SDLP called upon the British Goverment to demonstrate how the rights of Irish nationalists could be met in the context of the 1920 Government of Ireland Act. They also expressed the wish that any change in the Irish Constitution should be part of an overall settlement which would commad nationalist consent and reflect recognition of nationalist identity.
