A meeting took place between John Wheeler and members of the UUP. The principle conversation was around parades, Maryfield, and Sinn Féin attendance at the talks. The UUP proposed the approach which was later agreed between the two governments of inviting a Sinn Féin delegation into the building to speak to ministers, to avoid the propaganda coup of shutting them out at the gate.
