Writing Peace: George J. Mitchell Collection

This document, dated 26 November 1997, is a response from the Northern Ireland Women's Coalition outlining proposals for progressing talks. It recommends forming two subcommittees to explore arrangements, relationships, justice, and rights issues. The subcommittees, chaired by the plenary Chairman and his alternate, would consist of two representatives per participant. They would explore issues without requiring immediate agreement, identify areas of agreement and disagreement, and hold meetings initially for three days, followed by weekly morning sessions with afternoons for more detailed discussions.
