Writing Peace: George J. Mitchell Collection

This letter, sent by Ian Paisley to George Mitchell, encloses an article from An Phoblacht from 11 Septeber 1997 which features an interview with a PIRA spokesperson. Paisley argued that the content of the article showed that Sinn Féin, which he asserted was intimately linked to the PIRA, was not committed to the Mitchell Principles and should therefore be disqualified from the on-going talks.
