This document was prepared by the British and Irish Governments in response to a request by the participating delegates for a paper on the nature, form and extent of the current level of cooperation between departments and agencies in Northern Ireland and those in the Republic of Ireland. The first page gives a summary of the report prepared by the Governments, and is followed by a report with the broad areas of cooperation and the specific initiatives therein (recorded as Annex 1). The areas of cooperation include agriculture, education and training, the environment, EU programmes, health etc. Additionally, the document contains potential areas for further North/South cooperation.
