Draft response to the speaking note circulated by the British Government on 16 February 1998

This document contains the draft response of a party from the all-party talks to the speaking note circulated by the British Government on 16 February 1998, where the British Government asserted that Sinn Féin had dishonoured the Mitchell Principles. Though the author is unattributed, the content implies that it was written by a member of Sinn Féin in defense of Sinn Féin's right to participate in the talks. The paper includes comments on the paucity of information and evidence in the speaking note, and refers to clauses in Irish law to demand the right of a party to counter allegations made against it.
