This document describes the agreed system of Chairmanship for the all-party negotiations that were scheduled to start on 10 June 1996. The British Government was assigned the task of chairing Strand 1 talks, the British and Irish Governments were going to chair Strand 3 talks, and the George Mitchell, John de Chastelain and Harri Holkeri were invited to chair negotiations which required independent Chairmanship, including Strand 2. The text of this document has been derived from paragraph 4 of the 'Scenario for the Opening Plenary Session' document.
