This document is PUP and UDP's written response to the notice of indictment issued by the DUP on 9 September 1996. In this statement, PUP and UDP refute the allegations made by DUP, stating that beyond offering some political analysis to the CLMC upon request and in support of a ceasefire, they had no authority over its policies or activities. They concluded the paper by reaffirming their commitment to the Mitchell Principles.
