This letter from David Hill to General de Chastelain on 17 December 1997, informs him about the estimated additional cost of £130,000 for holding Strand Two meetings in London and Dublin. Hill mentioned that he had intended to present these details at the Business Committee meeting, which did not occur, prompting him to communicate the information in writing. He also clarified that he had authorized the circulation of 'joining instructions' for the planned London meeting under the mistaken belief that the dates were agreed upon at the December 8 Business Committee meeting. Hill expressed hope that these instructions would be useful for colleagues in preparing for the London meeting, whenever it takes place.
