The SDLP document, amended in pen, outlines the responsibilities and structure of the Liaison subcommittee of Plenary on Decommissioning. The Committee is tasked with assisting in the implementation of decommissioning aspects as detailed in the Report of the International Body, considering legislative proposals and regulations, and submitting opinions on decommissioning schemes to the Independent Commission. Additionally, the Committee will address other confidence-building measures and report progress to the Plenary. The Independent Commission, operating in both jurisdictions with appropriate immunity, will consult with relevant parties, propose decommissioning schemes, observe and verify decommissioning, and report periodically to the Plenary and both governments.
