Writing Peace: David Trimble Collection

The Progressive Unionist Party, in a document dated 17 October 1997, addresses constitutional issues under Strand Two of the negotiations. They assert that Northern Ireland will remain an integral part of the United Kingdom as long as it reflects the settled will of its people. The party emphasizes that the credibility of future 'Island Relationships' would be significantly improved if the Irish Government abandons its territorial claim over Northern Ireland.
