This document is a summary of a meeting of the Liaison Subcommittee on Decommissioning held on Monday, 17 November 1997. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the implementation of decommissioning as outlined in the Report of the International Body. However, the Independent Commission's proposals were not available, leading to a decision to reconvene on 1 December to review the proposals. The British and Irish Governments provided overviews of their primary legislation related to decommissioning. The next meeting was scheduled for 1 December, with the expectation of receiving the Commission's proposals by then.
