Writing Peace: David Trimble Collection

In a press release distributed by Paul Murphy's office to David Trimble's office, Tony Worthington MP, Minister responsible for Education, announced on 10 September 1997, that he had accepted the main recommendations from the Coopers & Lybrand Report on formula funding in schools. Worthington emphasized the need for full commonality across the province to ensure equitable funding for schools with similar needs, regardless of their location, and noted that further work and consultation would be required to refine the allocation of resources based on social and educational needs.
